No. When employees open the LMS from Odoo, Single Sign-On is used. Odoo sends a signed request, and Brusnika.LMS verifies it and automatically creates the employee's session.

What employee data is synchronized?

The integration uses data from hr.employee. The LMS receives the information needed to create and update employee profiles, including name, work email, job title, and department.

Are departments synchronized?

Yes. hr.department records are imported together with their parent departments, preserving the organizational hierarchy in the LMS.

Can training be organized by department?

Yes. Once the organizational structure is synchronized, Brusnika.LMS can use department information when organizing and assigning learning.

Is the Odoo calendar synchronized?

Yes. Training sessions from Brusnika.LMS can be synchronized with calendar.event in Odoo. Calendar events can include participants, start and end times, and location.

Are learning results sent back to Odoo?

Do I need programming skills to install the integration?

How Single Sign-On works

Employees don't need to authenticate separately when they open the LMS from Odoo.

The employee clicks "Open LMS" in Odoo.
The Odoo Python add-on generates a signed URL.
The URL contains the employee ID, email, timestamp, and administrator flag.
The signature is generated using HMAC-SHA256.
Brusnika.LMS verifies the signature and creates the user session.
The employee is taken directly into Brusnika.LMS.

No additional login or password is required.

Install Brusnika LMS from Odoo Apps — find Brusnika LMS in the Odoo Apps marketplace and install the add-on like any other Odoo application.
Enter the LMS URL and SSO secret — in Odoo, open Learning → Settings → Brusnika LMS and enter your Brusnika.LMS URL and the Single Sign-On secret.
