Remote exams across regional branches: how SKS Group moved staff certification into a single digital workflow on Brusnika.LMS and Bitrix24

A retail pawnshop chain organized regular knowledge checks for its geographically distributed staff without business trips or paper document flow, gaining transparent control over training quality network-wide.

About the company

SKS Group is a large retail pawnshop chain with branches across a number of regions. The company provides collateral-based financial services and operates in the secondhand/commission retail segment.

The retail staff numbers several hundred employees — primarily appraisers and intake officers, for whom precise knowledge of internal regulations and appraisal standards is critical. The network's geographic spread made regular in-person staff certification costly and hard to organize.

The challenge

The learning department needed to build a regular, manageable way to check employees' knowledge across the regions — exams and certification against internal regulations and service standards. The key constraint was geography: in-person exams required business trips, time, and budget.

Before implementation, the process relied on manual operations: training materials and tests were sent out through different channels, and results were collected in a scattered way. This made it impossible to see the overall picture in real time, confirm that an exam was actually taken and passed, or keep a single register of results. As a result, certification dragged out over time, created extra load for the learning department and managers, and gave no transparent view of training levels across the network.

The solution

The solution is built on the Brusnika.LMS platform, integrated with the company's Bitrix24 corporate portal.

Why Brusnika.LMS

All employees already work in Bitrix24, and Brusnika.LMS is embedded directly into the portal. This ruled out data migration, separate user accounts, and extra training for staff on a new system. The learning department connected the app from the marketplace and completed the initial setup on its own, without involving IT.

Tools used

  • Testing for exams and certification with flexible settings (scoring, time limits, number of attempts)
  • Automatic certificate issuance on completion
  • A knowledge base with training materials and regulations
  • Reporting on employee progress and results

How the process works

An exam is assigned to an employee directly in Bitrix24 and linked to their profile, and results are checked automatically. Access is available from any device, including mobile, letting staff complete certification right at their branch workplace.

Results

  • Before implementation: certification was done manually, dragged on for weeks, results were stored in a scattered way, and it was hard to assess the overall training level across the network.
  • After implementation: regional exams are fully online — no business trips, no paper document flow; each employee's result is available immediately after completion.
  • Unified control: results and certificates are collected in one place and linked to employees — the network-wide picture is transparent in real time.
  • Resource savings: less workload for the learning department and managers on organizing and checking exams; manual tallying and the errors that came with it are eliminated.
  • Standardization: knowledge requirements are unified across the whole network, and training materials are available to employees around the clock.

Quantitative figures (share of successful pass rates, certification timelines, hours saved) are drawn from Brusnika.LMS analytics reports based on the company's actual statistics.

Testimonial

“Brusnika.LMS solved our key challenge — organizing remote exams for employees in the regions. The solution works inside Bitrix24, where the team is active every day, so the rollout was fast and didn't require IT resources. Certification stopped being a logistics and paperwork task and became a transparent, manageable process with unified access to results and certificates. I'd recommend the platform to companies with a geographically distributed retail network that need to control staff training levels systematically and without excessive costs.”
